Debt recast options of AI will go to GoM
NEW DELHI: The snapping of fuel supply to cash-strapped Air India by oil PSUs on Thursday may prove to be the final nail in the ailing Maharaja's coffin. AI had got Rs 150 crore earlier this week for paying salary dues to employees. It paid Rs 110 crore towards salaries on Thursday and Rs 268 crore to oil companies over past two days to avoid denying of refuelling. Now, the airline is struggling to pay Rs 215 crore monthly interest to banks to avoid being classified as a non-performing asset .
